Seasoned Cooking: November 2021 Newsletter

By Ronda L. Halpin, 29 November, 2021

Seasoned Greetings!

All kinds of autumn deliciousness abounds in the month of November. In addition to a delightful look at Thanksgiving sides, there's everything you need - from breakfast decadence to inspired healthy meals, we've got you covered. So get ready to make some kitchen magic with Seasoned Cooking.

Seafood Scampi with Fettuccine

In a half hour, an elegant and decadent dinner can be on the table. Boasting both shrimp and tender tilapia, this pasta dish blends butter, garlic, lemon, cream, and more!

Tomato-Corn-Avocado Salad

Sometimes you have to lean into the fabulous color palette gardens offer. Four fantastic vegetables - avocado, tomato, pepper, and corn - come together to make an absolutely beautiful, entirely delicious salad to accompany your favorite dishes.

Chickpea & Squash Tacos with Avocado Cream

Give a nod to fall by loading your tacos with roasted chickpeas, squash, and onions along with a generous helping of avocado cream. And if the weather cooperates, take it all outside to enjoy.

Cast Iron Focaccia

A cast iron skillet and a bread machine make fantastic focaccia a snap. Get the basic recipe and top it (or don't) any way you'd like. Mine had cheese and olives, but this is definitely a make it your own kind of thing.

Air Fryer Green Beans

Make one of your Thanksgiving sides in fewer than 15 minutes without sacrificing flavor, texture, or nutrition. Tender green beans hold onto their best and really shine when you use your air fryer to prepare them. Plus, you won't need to tie up the oven!

Garlic Butter Rolls

Get a great recipe for a great bread roll recipe that can be made several different ways and enjoyed with everything from Thanksgiving dinner to your favorite pasta dish.

Purple Chopped Salad

Add a lot of color and nutrition to your Thanksgiving feast with a creative chopped salad featuring purple cauliflower, daikon radish, and tender turnip all in the same color palette: purple!

Stuffed Roasted Squash

Instead of serving stuffing in the bird (unsafe) or in a bowl (boring), try turning your favorite varieties of winter squash into edible bowls with some roasting, stuffing, and baking in the oven.

Mini Bundt Cakes

The key to perfect mini bundt cakes is preparing the pan for baking. Once you've got that down, any variety or flavor that gives you joy is within reach. And for Thanksgiving, that might mean a variety!

Brioche French Toast, Waffle Style

Decadent French toast meets crisp waffles with a clever blended recipe. If you have leftover brioche, eggs, half and half, and autumn spices, this is a stunningly good post-Thanksgiving breakfast to enjoy.

Roasted Salmon Niçoise Salad

Fresh meets roasted in a clever salad featuring all the flavor. Salmon, baby potatoes, and green beans find their way to the oven for roasting while greens, hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, and olives wait for them at the plate. Drizzle it all with a flavorful dressing and dinner is served!
