Happy Endings

Valentine's Day will be accompanied by millions of boxes of chocolates. But if you want to impress your love, why not think outside the box? Instead, put together a rich, lovely mocha fondue and dip together to your hearts' content. What could be better? A quick and easy recipe, you say?

Well, today's your lucky day because that's exactly what I have in store for you this month. A quick recipe that only has three ingredients and a list of directions that's so simple, it's almost too easy to put in this magazine ... except the final result is to die for!!!

Having a simple recipe to rely on means you can focus your attention on other things, like what to dip! Of course, strawberries are traditional, but you might also want to try:

  • Pineapple Chunks
  • Orange Segments
  • Apple Slices
  • Pieces of Mango or Papaya
  • Shortbread Cookies
  • Pieces of Pound Cake
  • Assorted Nuts

Then, if you want to add another layer of fun, put out chopped nuts, flaked coconut, cocoa powder and any other yummies you'd like to sprinkle over the top once you've dipped ... the possibilities are truly endless and delicious! Happy Valentine's Day!!!

As always, I encourage you to share your recipe ideas and comments. You can always post comments in the discussion board using the forms provided in the articles or email me directly at . Enjoy!

Simple Mocha Fondue

In a medium saucepan, combine all of the ingredients and heat over medium-low heat until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Transfer to a fondue pot and keep warm, but not simmering. Dip fruit, pieces of cake and nuts into the mixture and enjoy!
