- 6 large fully baked croissants, frozen
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup half and half
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon or pie spice
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Using a sharp knife, cut each of the croissants lengthwise into 4-5 ¾" thick slices. Set aside.
Whisk together the remaining ingredients in a shallow dish - I use a pie plate.
Heat an electric griddle to 325°F and apply the cooking fat of your choice lightly to the surface. I used butter. Dip each croissant slice in the egg mixture and gently tap it to remove excess egg mixture. Cook the slices on the preheated electric griddle for about 4 minutes per side. Remove the French toast to a plate and keep warm. Serve warm with the toppings of your choice.
