I really love salmon. It's delicious, good for you, and cooks quickly and easily. I especially love baking it in a hot oven with a bit of spice and sweetness. Because it's so simple and quick to make, it makes an excellent weeknight dinner option and is elegant enough that you can even entertain midweek!
Because there are so few ingredients in this easy recipe, I highly recommend following it fairly closely. You can opt for skin on or skinless salmon. I prefer skin on and the skin gets super crispy when cooked this way. The seasoning I have listed is a mildly spicy, fairly garlicky blend. You can pick something that has elements of both of those flavors in at the levels you would prefer. If you aren't a fan of hot honey, you could use regular honey, but if you haven't found out yet, this is a great recipe for testing your tastebuds! The sesame seeds are not required, but they are both beautiful and add a nice crunch to the dish. Try it!
This Hot Honey Baked Salmon is great served over your favorite salad, pasta, or even Kimchi Fried Rice. With a nod to spring, I had this batch crown a beautiful Asian-inspired salad featuring kale, red cabbage, coarsely shredded carrots, and cucumber. Was it great? Yes. Will yours be? Yes, and no matter how you serve it, enjoy!
