Happy Endings

Every once in a while, I tweak a cookie recipe to make a bar recipe or vise versa. This month's recipe is a perfect example of just that. While enjoying a chewy lemon cookie at a friend's house, I asked for the recipe. While it's a terrific recipe as is, I thought it would be fun to make it into a large pan of bars to offer for dessert after a casual meal of homemade chili.

What's truly wonderful about these bars is that they are so incredibly easy to make. Then, when you're serving them, you can sprinkle them lightly with powdered sugar and dollop them with a touch of whipped cream. Yum!

As always, I encourage you to share your recipe ideas and comments. You can always post comments on the message board using the forms provided in the articles or email me directly at . Enjoy!
