A wide variety of colorful, fresh fruit looks beautiful on a plate and if you want to dip it in something, instead of indulgent chocolate, consider a dip made from mascarpone cheese ... a rich Italian cream cheese.
This dip is simple to make and a little goes a long way when you're serving it with fruit. The extra bite from the candied ginger gives it a nice twist and you can serve a wide array of fruit with it. Instead of insisting on a list, simply go to your grocery store and see what looks good to you. Everything from apples to mango to kiwi will go nicely with this simple dip. Fresh Fruit with Mascarpone Creme
3/4 cup mascarpone cheese
2 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. Crystallized ginger, finely chopped
In a food processor, combine the cheese, honey and ginger. Process until smooth. Serve with sliced fruit, such as apples, pears, strawberries, pineapple, etc.
