Green Bean Casserole

  • 2 pounds green beans -- ends trimmed, sliced or French cut
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Mix the condensed soup, milk, salt and pepper in a casserole dish. Add the green beans and half of the onions. Mix well and bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Stir the mixture and top with the remaining half can of onions. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until the onions on top are a crunchy golden brown. Serve hot.

Note: Bacon lovers can add a couple of crispy crumbled bacon to the bean mixture before baking.
