- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- ¾ tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup M&Ms
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line two baking sheets with silicone baking mats.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the butter, salt, and sugars and beat until creamy. Add the egg and extract. Mix well.
Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and baking soda just until mixed.
Fold in the M&Ms gently, to avoid crushing them.
Scoop generous tablespoons of dough and place them on a silicone mat-lined cookie sheet. Press in additional M&Ms to make sure every cookie has 2 or more M&Ms on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes (baking time may vary).
