May brings us some of the most beautiful weather of the year. Take advantage of it and start eating outdoors. Picnics are a great way to get a healthy outing and change things up a bit without having to resort to restaurants with their pricey menus and heavy food. Given the abundance of new, spring produce, a picnic is just a stroll through the market away! This month, we're asking you to share your favorite picnic foods with us. Recipes aren't required (although we won't complain if you share them) and giving more than one item or even an entire picnic spread is encouraged.
I'll begin. I adore throwing together picnics that consist of great snacking foods. One of my favorite spreads includes homemade hummus, a loaf of French bread from my favorite bakery, olives, roasted peppers with feta cheese, baby carrots and sliced cucumbers and a bottle of wine. And maybe, if I'm lucky, something sweet like a few truffles or a couple pieces of baklava.
Each month, we ask a different question here. Your answers and feedback will appear below in the comments section. We encourage you to check out everyone else's answers and make comments and suggestions. This is a great way to get to know people who love reading this electronic magazine. Who knows, your next Internet friend may be a few clicks away!
