Rise 'n Shine

If I told you that you could have a healthy breakfast in minutes with just three ingredients, would you be interested? Smoothies are a great source of nutrition and they are easy to put together in minutes. If you have frozen fruit on hand, they are even easier to make. At my house, I always have fresh and frozen fruit, a variety of yogurt and both juices and skim milk on hand. It means a smoothie is always just a few minutes away.

Because I'm usually making them for only one or two, I tend to put the ingredients in a cup or two and use a stick blender to make a smoothie in the cup I intend to serve it in ... saving dishes, too. Who can argue with such a quick, easy and nutritious breakfast that doesn't result in lots of dishes? Say hello to summer!

As always, I encourage you to share your recipe ideas and comments. You can always post comments using the forms provided in the articles or email me directly at . Enjoy!
