Whether you're itching to plant that long-awaited garden or dreaming of walks in the park, spring brings with it a fresh new beginning and a chance to start new projects or renew old projects. Every spring, I start planning my garden -- which I promise not to plant until after Mother's Day to make sure we're done with freezing temperatures -- and look forward to the tomatoes, squash, beans, herbs, flowers and other fun things it promises to share with me later in the year. It gives me a chance to plan layouts and anticipate what will grow best in certain areas and how plants will look once they've matured. It's truly my favorite spring project.
