Seasoned Cooking: 17 July 2015 Announcements

By Ronda L. Halpin, 17 July, 2015

Seasoned Greetings!

Keeping up with our lazy summer theme, we're sharing everything from slow-cooked ribs to hitting the road for freshness this time around at Seasoned Cooking:

Dinner Series: Start 'Em Slow

My trick for fall-off-the-bone tender ribs? I start them in the slow cooker and finish them in the oven, on the grill, or on the smoker. They key is how you start them, though. Get my secret and never suffer disappointing ribs again.

Dinner Series: Roasted Salad

Potato salad is a summer staple, but this one's got a twist. Not only does it feature roasted spuds, it also sports a fantastic caesar dressing. Pair it with all your summer favorites, including fall-off-the-bone ribs!

Dinner Series: Keeping It Fresh

Our week-long dinner series comes to an end with a delightfully fresh salad that boasts a combination of everything from silky smooth avocado to crisp cucumbers. Nestle it alongside roasted potato salad and tender, tangy ribs and you've got a quintessentially summer meal.

The Home Chef's Farm Road Trip: Where to Go for the Freshest Ingredients

As summer progresses, fresh food takes center stage at the table. That doesn't need to stop when you hit the road for vacations. Get some insight into three of the nation's great farms and farmers' markets.

Weeknight Shorts: Griddle Patty Melts

Summer's quintessential food is often said to be the burger and patty melts are really that, but in disguise. If you love 'em, but think they can't really be fast food, skip the grill and pull out your griddle. Dinner will take less than a half hour to prepare!
