Seasoned Cooking: 23 May 2014 Announcements

By Ronda L. Halpin, 23 May, 2014

Seasoned Greetings!

This time around at Seasoned Cooking, we're heating up for warmer weather. Everything from poolside cocktails to a perfect side dish for grilled steak are on the menu:

Easy, Elegant Eggs

When time is running short, but you aren't wanting takeout or leftovers, turn to the versatile egg and turn dinner into an event. With a quick turn around the kitchen, you can have a frittata that will have you leaning back with a glass of wine and imagining yourself in a classy cafe!

A Steak-Worthy Side

Sometimes, it's hard to figure out what to serve alongside fantastic steak. I mean, baked potatoes are ubiquitous, but boring. Salads are nice, but rarely can hold their own when paired with steak. Your search is over — bruschetta to the rescue!

4 Poolside Cocktails for Summer

Warmer weather begs us to prepare for summer sipping. Get your cocktail bar ready for sunning by the poolside with drink in hand. It's time to get your shaker, ice, and fun glasses and embrace the upcoming warmer weather!

Weeknight Shorts: Dinner Without Piles of Dishes

Sometimes it seems like you have a balancing act when it comes to dinner: quick dinner, easy dinner, low cleanup dinner, dinner your family will love, dinner that's nutritious. It seems like you can pick one, maybe two, of those things. This time around, get all five of them!

Flavor Mates

Some flavor combinations are just meant to be: chocolate and peanut butter, hot pepper and lime, and ginger and orange. The last one is showcased in an elegant bundt cake that's company-ready.
